BP

I just don't think banning BP is the answer. Stop driving all together might be, but that would be an inconvenience for people ~ so let stick it to their wallets and support some other oil company. Logic, please?

So if you stick it to BP and they go bankrupt~ how and who will pay for this mess? I'm just sayin'!

Where is let logic of pulling into another gas station that drills in the Gulf too? WHATEVER People. Pull your heads out of the sand! BP is not the only person to blame here. Our reliance on OIL seems to be the bigger issue. I'm not ready to give up my mini and therefore I will pull into BP and get my gas. I look at is as supporting the clean up effort. Just something to chew on.

Had to get that off my chest. Too long for FB.

Don't forget the local people who would be out of jobs that work at the stations and stores. Not like there are an abundance of other job opportunities for them right now.

Low Expectations

Intentional Spending

I first want to say I am not cheap!  I don't buy the cheapest item just because I want to save money.  I do like finding a good deal on things that are high quality.  I don't like sacrificing quality for price.  I try to never pay full price for anything.   When I say our spending it intentional what I mean is that Mark and I sit down around November and hash out the budget.  Some things are constants in the budget.  Mortgage, phone, insurance pretty much stay the same.  Some vary like gas, water, electric.  After years of budgeting we can average out what we spent the year before and add if needed to the new budget.   Here is what we do know we have to pay something first so they go in the budget first.  Then what is "leftover" is up for dividing.  This is not a fool proof plan. 2 AM Musings

I have been wide awake since before 2 AM. Wide eyed and well, not so bushy tailed. This is the second day in a row. Why?  No really, why? This is the second day in a row my brain refuses to turn off for longer than a few hours. It's like half my brain wants to party and the logical side knows this is not a good thing.    As a mom of three on the first day of a new school year I am sitting in the family room in the dark thinking of all the things I can't do right now. I am also lamenting summer. Today summer break officially ends. At least I am up in time to get the kids to school.   I am not excited for today. It has a few milestones that we can not put off. I will not drive to the elementary school for the first time in eight years. I will be dropping my youngest off at middle school and my oldest at the high school.
