Random Thoughts

Madison's two front teeth are loose!

We own a baby grand piano.  Baby doesn't mean small, well in comparison to other grander pianos.  This is not a new item in our home just one that is big.  Anyway...

Nathan says things wrong which is hilarious or he says stuff you just don't expect like "mmmm this is dewishious (delicious)."  Always good for a laugh.

Alexandra is in the 95 percentile for her weight and height.  The Dr. said if this rate of growth continues she could be taller than Mark, he is 6 feet tall.

Changes in Latitude,  changes in attitude nothing remains quite the same. That is all I have to say about that.

Christmas cards are NOT keeping my mind off things.

Alex is going to have to get a job to buy food.  She must say to me 10 times a day " I'm hungry." I will write down everything she eats tomorrow and blog it for you.  Prepare to be amazed.

I want a craft room.  Mark's Aunt and Uncle are coming over tomorrow for dinner and I have to clean up the Christmas card workshop.  One reason I wish for a craft room and that darn CK magazine I get every month.  When will that subscription expire?  The devil must be paying for my renewal.

It is almost Thanksgiving and people are calling about Christmas ideas?  When did November start?  What year is it? What day is it? Everyone might be getting a homemade Christmas card for a present at this rate.

The economy stinks (as if you didn't know).  If you get a monthly statement for 401k or IRA just leave it in the envelope and file it away.  No need to look.  Trust me!  I told Mark last month just file next month in the drawer and he opened it.  Then I had to hear about it.  I told him not to look.  Last month was hard for me and then he had to go and tell me about this month.  LONG TERM. We retire in about 30 years.  That sounds bad too.  Okay next...

My mom is moving to Jacksonville in two weeks.  Yeah, not sure how I will handle it but I seem to be fine for now except for the chest pain. Did someone say stress?  This topic is even worse than the economy. Moving on...

Ha! That is funny, moving on.  That is all I have to say about that too.

Your random thoughts looks and sounds like my "to-do list." I was getting so anxious over all I had to do the other day that I had to put it on paper just so that I could manage what was going on in my head!

Break is over!

Wow! It took me some time to log onto Blogger. I always feel like it is a test when I have to remember a password on an account. I couldn't remember the email or password. That is when you know it has been awhile.  I started a new blog on wordpress. I have been writing but it is all about crafty DIY project and organization. Someone asked me a few weeks ago if I ever use Box of Chocolates and I was sad to say, "No".  So here I am with a renewed outlook on Box of Chocolates.  You never know what you are going to get, but here I am again so at least it will be something. For a year I have been wanting to do National Novel Writing Month. It is the month of November.  The process has already started for me. I have been reading books on writing and doing research on some of the ideas I have for my Novela. Novel sounds so much better to me in Spanish. I think I have written about things in different languages sometimes just sound better. I think it was a post on my ...

NaNoWriMo & Peeps

peeps pēps/ noun  informal people (often used to refer to a person's friends or associates). "thanks for the feedback, peeps!" If you choose to do NaNoWriMo you have got to explain to the ones you love and cherish what you are doing in November. The more warnings the better. I told my husband a year before I started NaNoWriMo that I wanted to   do a month writing challange and explained the details. I didn’t talk about it all year but once October came around I started to talk more about NaNoWriMo. I talked about it so much my second year that my kids wanted to do NaNoWriMo too.   It was fun to do some writing prep with my kids.   My oldest has already set a goal for this year.  If you have kids you should check out the  Young Writers Program .  They can set word goals. I like encouraging my kids to write with me. It might even help me justify writing on Saturday and Sunday when I have a kid or two a...

"Normal"

Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge . This past year has been something else to say the least. From October to October, okay not quite a year but WOWSER! Didn't see that freight train coming. I have to reflect. I have been reading my blog entries going back to October of last year. Part of me can believe it has been a year since all this started and part of me feel like it was forever ago. Daily I have to turn my cares over to the Lord, carry my cross and trust with a faith that can move mountains. Recap~ October 2008 ~ The company Mark is contracting for is a pool company and is really feeling the effects of the economy and crisis and has to cut back. Mark was not the first to go but his time is up the first week of October. November 2008 ~ hint of a job in Raleigh NC. The person hiring has to wait until January to see if they get a contract or not. Very surprised at the lack of jobs in the Tampa area...
